AI Writer
The AI Writer generates personalized email drafts based on the prospect's domain data, your goals, and your preferred tone. It uses CronDB's enrichment data to craft relevant, contextual messages.
How It Works
- You provide parameters (purpose, tone, length, CTA)
- The AI analyzes the prospect's domain data (industry, tech stack, summary)
- It generates a subject line and email body
- You review, edit, and approve before sending

Configuration Options
Purpose
Choose what the email should accomplish:
| Purpose | Description |
|---|---|
| Introduction | First contact with a new lead |
| Follow-Up | After a previous email with no reply |
| Meeting Request | Ask for a call or demo |
| Value Proposition | Lead with your product's benefits |
| Re-engagement | Reconnect with a cold lead |
| Breakup | Final message before stopping outreach |
Tone
| Tone | When to Use |
|---|---|
| Professional | Enterprise prospects, formal industries |
| Casual | Startups, tech companies, creative fields |
| Friendly | Warm leads, referral-based outreach |
| Direct | Time-sensitive offers, busy executives |
| Curious | Research-based outreach, asking questions |
Length
| Length | Approximate Size |
|---|---|
| Short | 2-3 sentences |
| Medium | 4-5 sentences (recommended) |
| Long | 6-8 sentences |
Data shows that emails under 100 words get significantly higher reply rates. The AI Writer defaults to medium length, but consider using short for initial outreach.
Call-to-Action Type
| CTA Type | Example |
|---|---|
| Open question | "Would you be open to discussing this?" |
| Meeting request | "Do you have 15 minutes this week?" |
| Calendar link | "Pick a time that works: [link]" |
| Resource share | "I put together a quick guide — want me to send it?" |
| Soft close | "If this isn't relevant, no worries at all." |
Generation Process
When you click Generate, the AI:
- Reads the prospect's enrichment data (industry, tech stack, business summary, country)
- Incorporates your parameters (purpose, tone, length, CTA)
- Generates 3 subject line options and 1 email body
- Inserts appropriate personalization variables
Subject Line Selection
The AI generates 3 subject line variations. Click any one to select it, or edit manually:
- Option A — Usually the most direct
- Option B — A question-based approach
- Option C — A curiosity-driven approach
Editing the Draft
After generation, the email appears in the editor with full editing capabilities:
- Modify any text directly
- Add or remove personalization variables
- Adjust formatting (bold, links, lists)
- Add attachments or images
Context-Aware Generation
The AI Writer produces different output based on the prospect's data:
For an e-commerce domain using Shopify:
References their online store, mentions growth in their vertical, ties your value proposition to e-commerce metrics.
For a SaaS domain using Stripe and Intercom:
References their tech stack, mentions the challenges of scaling a SaaS product, positions your offering alongside the tools they already use.
For a healthcare domain:
Uses more formal tone, references compliance requirements, focuses on reliability and security.
Best Practices
- Always review before sending — AI-generated content should be your starting point, not the final product
- Add a personal touch — Mention something specific you noticed about their website or product
- Test different tones — Generate multiple versions and A/B test them
- Use with templates — Generate a base template, then save it for reuse across similar prospects
Generation Limits
| Plan | AI Generations per Month |
|---|---|
| Starter | 50 |
| Pro | 500 |
| Enterprise | 2,000 |
